Nando's ~ Jusco

Apart from KFC and Kenny Rogers, Nando's has been the destination for chicken lovers. Nando's is famous for it's spicy and hot peri peri sauce. I don't really like sour food and thus I don't really like it. The restaurant was full of people when we arrived.

I ordered 1/4 chicken with 2 side dishes (RM 14.95). Like Kenny Rogers, we can select the side dishes but there isn't many varieties here. I picked chips and mediterranean rice. The chicken was roasted to perfection, firm and juicy. The rice was just right, the taste was not too strong that overpower the chicken and the chips were gigantic. 3/5

Sushi King~Setiawangsa Jusco

I always love the food at Sushi King. The food is tasty and the price is affordable. The service at this restaurant was good and the waitresses were very polite.

I ordered dry curry ramen (RM11.90). Japanese curry is thicker, denser and not as hot and spicy as Indian curry. But this curry was rather watery, despite its name. It tasted plain and wasn't well-seasoned. I enjoyed this dish the least. 0.5/5

The slices of salmon sashimi (RM 12.90) here were thicker than the ones I had at Sushi Zanmai but the size was smaller so they were just about the same. The texture of the meat was smooth and you could feel the juice flowing into your mouth with each bite. 4/5

Next is my favorite dish, spider roll (RM 11.90). It only came with 4 pieces of sushi but each of them were as gigantic as california rolls. Deep fried crabs were wrapped with fresh cabbage, seaweed and sticky rice, sprinkled with roe and mayonnaise . The proportion of vegetable was a bit too much but it still tasted great. 3/5

Fried chicken sushi with mayonnaise (beige plate-RM3.00) wasn't as bad as I thought. The meat was crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Delicious~~ 3/5

Unagi sushi (pink plate-RM 4.00). The fish was well-flavored and fresh. I always love unagi and thus I would rate this dish high. Haha! 3.5/5

Mackerel sushi (pink plate-RM 4.00). The fish was well fried and topped with a bit of sesame seeds 3.5/5

The prawn was deeply fried until golden brown and was wrapped with vegetable, sticky rice and seaweed ebi sushi (red plate-RM 5.00). I found this dish to be very good. 3.5/5

Ebi sushi (purple plate-RM 6.00). This dish was quite good but I prefer the dish above better. 2.5/5

Sushi King also offer free green tea and it's refillable ^^

The Best Tom Yam

This family owned house-restaurant located in Jalan Gombak is managed by middle-aged husband and wife. This restaurant is well-knowned to the students at Chung Hwa High School for its delicious homemade tom yam. It looks like a typical chinese kopitiam.

I ordered my favorite tom yam meehon. It is cooked with fresh prawns, squids and fishballs. The uncle told us that they have clam, fresh from the market but both of us do not eat clam. The tom yam here is so far the best tom yam I've eaten. The soup had a good balance of spiciness, sourness and sweetness. The price is also reasonable. Tom yam meehon+iced chrysanthemum tea=RM5.90.

Tom yam fried rice is not bad itself. The mouth-watering looking fried rice had strong tom yam flavor. This can be seen through the strong red color of the rice. It was a bit too sour to me. The freshness of its seafood ingredients tasted great with the tom yam flavored rice. This dish is a bit more expensive than tom yam meehon. Tom yam fried rice+fried egg+chrysanthemum tea=RM7.60.

The sweetness and freshness of iced chrysanthemum tea washed away the spiciness of the tom yam dishes.

Cheese Baked Rice~Kim Gary

The restaurant is a very busy restaurant, with lots of hungry customers flooding the restaurant. It looks like an ordinary chinese restaurant that you found in big shopping centers.

I tried unagi seafood with wasabi cheese topping. The cheese was quite thick that I was quite full after taking a few bites. The unagi was juicy and nicely flavored with japanese soy sauce. However, the wasabi wasn't like what I expected and not spicy enough.

What a big slice of unagi=D

Look at the gigantic oyster!! Too bad I don't eat oyster and so my friend ate it for me lol!!

My friend ordered a glass of honey milk and it's way too sweet.
